I recently acquired a cheap MK4/6L Ibiza FR 1.8t with a BJX lump in it. It’s showing signs of head gasket failure and doesn’t seem financially feasible to rebuild it.
BJX lumps aren’t too common as far as I can see on selling sites, is it possible to do a straightforward swap...
I am currently gathering parts to do an engine conversion on a mk2 ibiza curpa sport, so far i have got garret GT28RS Turbo, porsche injectors, omex ecu and custom manifold, i will be running 2.5" pipework to a front mount intercooler and a 3" downpipe I need to know what size actuator to use...
Am i correct in thinking the above is the 20vt lump used in Golfs or if not what cars use that lump.
Also does the 180 bhp lump use the same rods and pistons etc as the 210 and 225 bhp lumps?
