Right guys, I need to know the best way to mount and get a cold air feed to my jetex filter in my LCR? Can I see your ideas and ways? I was thinking of getting a enclosed one like the forge one, but I don't think the feed is worth it. The set up on the LCR's I think starves the engine abit, as...
Found this intake feed kit on uk mkivs and it is apparently an exact fit to my 1.4 leon but I can find the feed kit anywhere apparently its an OEM part :S
any help would be greatly appriciated
thanks
I fitted my green open cone last week and although I love the noise it makes, I feel like it's a little more sluggish than it used to be. I'm waitin for a 3 inch air feed to be delivered and I'm trying to think of the best way to get cold air to filter. At the moment I just have the original air...
Hi,
I've got a Ibiza 1.9TDi 130. I have very minimal knowledge about cars and am looking to do little upgrades to my car.
First thing I was looking at was to either get the green cotton filter or an induction kit. I've done some research and seem to understand how to fit the induction kit...
Morning all,
quick question. at the weekend took delivery of my forge 007p and my green panel filter:p. everything is fitted and working fine.
I've done a search and the only guides i can see to modding the airbox are for the LCR. Are the priciples essentially the same if i was to mod ie...
Whilst i was in the pub on friday i was speaking to a mechanic friend who had just serviced a heavily modified old polo.
This old G40 had the supercharger replaced with a turbocharger.
In the middle of servicing this he found another oil resovoir that feed the turbo only.
The oil of the car...
[/ms/IMG]aup lads removed my passenger fog light yesterday and decided to use it as a cold air feed as it didnt work anyway so i got some 4 inch ducting and used the existing hole its quite a good cheap mod and isnt that noticeable let me no what ya think[/IMG][/IMG]
Just a thought.. Is there any advantage in running a cold air feed from grill to an area close to the conical air filter which sits above the throttle body on my car?
I have removed the air box and placed the filter straight on top with the help of a few reducers and jubilee clamps. If i run...
I done a little work to my car about 2 months and about 1500 miles ago. All the usual servicing, plugs, filters, oil etc. I also cleaned out the throttle body and fitted a cold air feed around the same time. The photo is not of my car (Thankyou in advance EnGbudd) but my cold air feed is exactly...
Help please.
I need a wiring diagram for a S reg Alhambra.
Ive got a problem with the live feed to the fuel pump.
All works fine if I put a direct feed from the battery to the fuel cut off valve, but as soon as I remove it the engine cuts.
Just thought I'd post a few pics of my cold air feed for my smoothed airbox
I smoothed my airbox in the same way as others have, but for the fitment of the cold air feed I didnt want to cut as much away from my airbox as I'd seen in examples.
I only removed the intake pipe on the inside of...
Hello everyone,
I posted this a few days ago on the ICE section of SCN but no one has replied, so I'm hoping I'll have a bit more luck here. Apologies if it isn't too relevant.
I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me to see if what I have planned is do-able.
I want to get a...
I have done just over 18k in my TDI now and it is absolutly beautiful.. In the early days I was giving it some stick in an attempt of breaking in, which sometimes meant I got my DPF light illuminated. I would sometimes use Slik 50 detergent at £11 a pop every 4-5000 miles which did cause some...
After spending most of last night reading about bigger cold air feeds and good results, i decided to give it a go today to see if it was worth it.
First impressions are good.
Induction noise is throatier so it sounds better.
Response is quicker, so pulling away feels smoother.
Smoke...

Having been reading J@mes's thread on his custom air feed and also actually seen it (and it does look very smart) and I have been thinking of doing something similar to my 01 LC
I have a Carbonio setup on mine, and the filter sits all the way down past the passenger wing.
Some could say it...
