Just to let everyone know, Simon has emailed me back today regarding the group buy.

Sed has had alot of contact from the forum and is more than willing to set up a group buy with a discount.

If can get 5 or more cars together then will do it at £250 each all in.
Can someone set up a group buy thread please as i cannot do it.

That's because we encourage retailers to contact one of the Forum Administrators before milking the forum.

Ask him to drop me an email (or since he's registered, he could contact me anyway)

Cheers

Mark

sorry to go off thread,

Rudd have you had any problems turning your fog lights into cold air feeds?
(stones, rubbish etc...)

I am looking to do it also. What do you suggest Feed to intercooler on drivers side and to my Viper on passenger side?

I tried removing the fog lamps and found virtually no change to the performance of the SMIC's, I also tried to get a feed down to the fog light level and then didn't bother for several reasons incl the thought of going through deep ish water in Winter would worry me with a low air feed.

In the end I got a Forge FMIC and tried fitting a Carbonio type induction kit although I couldn't get it to fit .

So I left the fog lamps in and was going for a scoop like the ones Warren was getting made

But then I sold the car :D

265bhp - 198bhp = 67bhp transmission loss

Toyota Aygo 12v has 67bhp
Chevrolet Matiz SPORT 67bhP

 Discuss....... :D

Yes I spoke to the guys at powerstation and they advised me it was their rollers and how they are setup. He said that on any car you add another 25-30bhp onto the wheel figure so i'm looking at about 225ish on the tarmac!

Discussion over...!

I don't get it?

If it says 266bhp at the Fly and 190bhp at the wheels, why add 25-30bhp to get the figure at the Wheels?

Or have I misunderstood??

Yeah i know mate, wouldnt really call it a full blown comparison. Cars looked pretty even in gear for the little time we played. Would have been good for a side by side rolling but there's plenty time for that. Im sure a JBS rolling road day is coming up soon:)

Rudd.... I think Si is saying his wheel figure should be around 225! For some reason the rollers are under reading at the wheels by 25-30 bhp:shrug: God knows how they've managed to calculate a flywheel figure then:confused:

225 would/should indicate around 265bhp @flywheel:)

Sounds like you need to go to another RR venue Si as a rolling road that cant measure wheels figures is about as much use as tits on a fish;) :)

Thats fine. I know this is the case @ powerstation and many other 4wd roads so doesn't bother me :D

To me adding 35bhp to 'accurate' RR figures makes no logical sense but it's probably best to agree to disagree otherwise we will have useless thread full of pointless arguments.

Figures aside what matters is how the car performs on the road and the levels of back up/features etc you get with the package. TBH I'm quite happy the emaps product is fairly good, mainly because of Vern's feedback.

I just hope the emaps guy contacts m0rk though otherwise I fear the GB won't be via SCn....not my decision but emaps are milking SCn under the nose of forum sponsors....forum sponsors pay a small fee to be on these forums and that money keeps this momouth site ticking over (nobody makes a living from SCn the guys just need to cover the costs of servers etc) I'd like to think we would all be helping them do that.

Indeed! I have mailed Simon and suggested he contact m0rk before the whole group buy thing is discussed any further...

In fairness it's members on here that've suggested the group buy not anyone from Emaps.

Here's what Simon had to say about the remap:

I always take a copy of the original map from the ECU and write the modified map from this map. This can be written back to the ECU restoring the ECU back to stock. I don’t make a charge for this if you bring the car to me, if you want me to travel to you then I only make a small charge to cover my travelling costs.

The map is written for economy when the car is driven with less enthusiasm, this certainly helps with fuel economy. Regarding mods, we do write the software so the adaptation side of the ECU will adapt to mods that you fit that increase air low in and out of the engine.

I do agree Rudd and it would have been a better way of doing it but i wasnt aware of that much detail.

I do think that if Simon does contact Mork, it would generate alot of interest as is another option remapping wise.

lol simon will be getting in the neck now, cos I've been emailing him over the past two days (first time was before the group buy was mentioned), the last email I sent was about the group buy. Should prompt him enough eh?!

@ Rudd I agree with you dude, not trying to be difficult but I now for a fact that my motor is quicker than a standard LCR (I've driven 3) and they make about 190ish at the wheels when standard.

All you lot have to do is give E-Maps a chance like I did and the proof is shown in my car.

They are a great bunch of guys and they know what they are taking about.

This is the only problem with people on this forum you shoot people down too quickly! :(

I'm sure Simon will have a chat with Mark and sort something out in regards to SCn.
