had a go on a G-Tech setup properly. 5.45 seconds with good traction. that's in a 260bhp ibiza though.

I'm circa 5.5-6 too... well I had it videoed while booting from 0-60 and the timeline is about that... not accurate but near enough for me. lol

the problem with powerful ibizas is traction in 1st. i have brand new tyres and mine still struggles badly. once into 2nd it flies though. i timed 60mph-100mph the other night in 5 seconds going by the speedo.

yea, that will probably be down to traction. mine doesn;t really get any in 1st and it's 256bhp with 282lbs/ft of torque.

I rarely boot it in first, no point lol LEt 2nd do the work.

I love 20-60... hehe

then again 60-100 is good in third too lol on my private road

you need new tyres then :D mine didn;t get any traction in 2nd even though my old tyres were still legal. i swapped them for some decent brand new ones and 2nd gear is fine now! your right though, in the wet 1st and 2nd are a big NO NO, 3rd used to be bad, but i have uniroyal rainsports on there now and it has helped 3rd gear in the wet a hell of alot

 i dont need new tyres, their fine

Best i had is 6.1, thats with 214bhp, outta first in a flash or its a wasted run! :D

I always do it with traction control off too! otherwise just kills off all my power when shift from 1st to 2nd!

No 2nd gear traction here either. Also 3rd gear in the wet is stupid. Still have quite a lot of tread left though I think.....

Stiffer rear suspension will help traction when pulling away hard. Mines rock hard and i dont get to much of a problem booting in 1st. (but then i'm not running 250+bhp........................ yet)

stops the front lifting up, therefore keeping the weight on the front wheels! giving more traction!! does work

Rear of the car won't squat as much with stiffer suspension. When the rear squats more of the cars weight is transferred to the rear of the car, and away from the front of the car in turn putting less weight on the front wheels, causing less traction. If you look at cars setup mainly for 1/4 mile runs alot of them have the ride height of the back of the car higher than the front, this keeps the nose pointing down.
