007 Diverter Valve - Which Way Round Best??

I have just got a 007 diverter valve and have fitted it the same way as the original one.

Have been reading other threads and have noticed a lot of people turning it round, so pressure is in the bottom and side pipe goes back into the air feed to make the valve louder! Is this correct and is there any harm in this or should I leave it as the standard one was fitted??

Thanks

Id like to see the reasoning for fitting it other than the way its designed to operate.

Don't think there's any harm in it, but I'd be inclined to leave it as it's meant to be installed, as in the same as OEM.

If you want a louder turbo/dump noise, get an induction kit :)

turning it round makes a really cr@p sounding metal ping sound - I tried it for one trip in the car and as soon as the dv made a noise I turn the car round and went straight back home to swap it back to the OEM position.

I have had mine round the OEM way since i've bought the car 3 years ago. About a week ago i decided to change it round so the boost entered the bottom of the valve and i have to say my car is running alot better.
If you think about it all DV's (albeit atmospheric ones) have the boost entering the bottom of the piston, not the side. I've also read on here somewhere that SEAT fitted the OEM valve the wrong way round by mistake, but i don't know how true that is.

I'm pretty sure with the hours of R&D, testing and mapping that was needed even to get the base map right they would of noticed the DV being the wrong way round

OEM way to fit a 007 valve IS to get the boost up the bottom, right? haha..

but seriously, thats the correct way to fit it. So the piston moves horizontally and the side opening of the valve sends return back infront of turbo.

Having had a Seat for a while and seen some of there workmanship i can believe they have fitted some of these wrong.
My first MOT the guy told me I've had my headlight buld the wrong way around since new
duno how possible that was but???

so the only difference is one way is just about silent and with pressure going into the bottom you get a little bit of noise?

it reacts quicker with the pressure from the turbo going into the bottom of the valve (opposite way round the how the original plastic one was fitted)??

I believe its designed to receive the pressure at bottom and release trough the side....

que ?
