turning it round makes a really cr@p sounding metal ping sound - I tried it for one trip in the car and as soon as the dv made a noise I turn the car round and went straight back home to swap it back to the OEM position.

have had mine the other way round for a long time now. With the re-map it makes a nice chirp sound which is audible inside the car even at high rpm and over the top of the Piper full system. FORGE state that it is completely safe to use it this way round, and infact the split R only works this way.
Besides all of this, it physically fits better this way as it allows the engine cover to sit properly. Have had no problems with boost leaks or such like. To be honest it makes more sense this way, as that is exactly how all other dump valves are designed to work.

I also think that it dumps faster this way, possibly retaining more rpm in the turbo.

It must be the extra boost from the remap that changes the sound... but it sounded really naff metallic ting sound on my car, once I get it remapped next year I'll try swapping around again.

Having just fitted my 007P dump valve, and green panel filter at the same time, must say this appears to have sorted my flat spot..
But its hardl audible, although I can hear the dump valve operating in the cabin (just) not so much outside... (Normal?)

I'm tempted to do the reverse action as mentioned in this thread. Anyone else had any adverse effects from this??

Yeah the niose level is only in the cabin, sounds like its coming from the passenger foot well. if your after lots of noise you need to go open cone or cold air intake.

Reversing is fine (Forge state it works both ways), but without a remap it will sound a bit naff - well mine did.

I have just reversed mine today. With the cone filter I fitted the other day it sounds MUCH louder, almost like a BOV.

I agree, sounds like shooting tin cans with an air rifle

When you putting 2 bar of pressure through it it sounds awsome lol

turned mine round yesterday and you can hear it a little bit now, should be ok when i save up enought pennies for a cone filter and a remap. Might have to go and get the revo trial for some fun for the time been lol
