01543 Fault Code?

Hi all,

Has anyone experienced the 01543 Parking Aid Warning Chime (H15) fault code?

I also don't seem to understand what this fault is? I don't seem to have anything wrong with my rear parking sensor as they all work as expected and it doesn't ever chime longer than it should?

If so what's the fix? Is it just the speaker?

Well it does point to a fault with the rear buzzer assembly which is a cheap enough looking thing, and probably a common item across the entire VW Group fleet, fastened onto steel work by a couple of plastic expanding rivet things, ie the type that you push the centre pin through to remove the rivets and then reuse these rivets.

Where is the buzzer located? Keen to replace it myself to be honest.

I've never looked for a rear one, but I think that it will be located near the rear of the car, maybe check in the boot area while someone selects reverse a few times? I'd think it will be on or near a rear wheel arch.
