I have just bought a vw mk1 caddy and i'm wanting to put my 2.0 8v engine in from my 95 mk2 ibiza gti and i know i need to sort out some engine mounts that will fit. The just caddys shop do 02A gearbox mounts for caddys and i was just wondering if anyone knows if these would be the right ones to buy as they haven't got back to me yet?
The description does say it's for SEAT's but i got confused as i saw on here that there's a 020 gearbox and i'm not sure which mine is?

Thanks
Dan

been reading it here for 8+years and i can still never remember which ones which - lol

 next question.....

020 - 8v- rod change

02A - 16v - cable change

thats how im starting to remember it - i hope

spent too long looking em up under the 3 digit trans codes but i'm getting there :p

Or 2E if an earlier 2L 8v.

ah yes, forgot about the 2E earlier version of the 2.0 8v ;)

and yes you're right with the rod/cable change flapper

How early? Mine is one of the last ones before they started making the Cupra Sport versions with the bigger bumpers

Yeah caddy's are the same as mk1 golf's, just can't seem to find out what engine mounts are gonna be needed to put the 2.0 8v in it as the engine mounts on the 2.0 8v engine are in a different place to where they are on the caddy.

see i'm getting there, M0rk usually beats me with a stick if i get it wrong - lol

if you need any diff/ gear ratios though just shout out the 3 digit code CDA / ASD etc as i have em all listed now

just figured out a memory tweak that will help

O as in Rod - A as in Cable :):)

If your's has got the small bumpers on it, then it's possibly a 2E......

Not sure where the 'stamp' is on the block to tell you the code.... will have a google!
