Hi all,

Great forum very helpful already!!

My Girlfriend is about to buy an 07 ibiza sport with just 16k on it:

I was wondering if there is anything in particular to look out for when buying?

Can anyone advise on some common/easy/subtle mods too? Nothing too mad really looking to keep it OEM+

I have seen the Polo rear wiper mod and the LCR splitter, (would like to see a pic of a silver one with the splitter) and I also want to do the flip key!

Lol her new car and I've started already!

Oh, plus how can I tell if it is the 75hp or 85hp?

(I was going to post a pic of the car but I dont have enough posts to do this)

Thanks for the advice guys, We are getting the can on Sunday (at last)

I read that sidelight bulbs cab be a pain to change?

What are the main beam and indicator bulbs like for doing?

They`re not too bad on the smaller engines, it`s the TDI`s that are a pain... literally!

The TDI`s REALLY fill up the engine bay... there are components fitted right up to the rear of the light clusters meaning you need really small hands and some practice to be able to get the bulbs in and out.

We picked it up today in the snow!! Have to say I am very impressed. Seems to pull better than I expected for a 1.4 and it looks great! Build quality seems good and the handling feels nice and tight.

Already changed the headlamp bulbs for some 7500k ones :)

There seems to be a fair bit of road noise, I assume this is normal and down to the wheels/tyres/suspension?

I think it'll be a great car for her!!!

Normally the tyres, Suspension on Ibiza's is notoriously hard which doesnt help.
Get some Toyo T1R's on there and the road noise will be eliminated and you'll have much better grip in good and bad weather :)

Cheers mate, I'll leave it until the tyres wear a bit then consider a change. The noise is worse at lower speeds to be honest.

I'll post some pics once I have enough posts to do so!

Thanks mate, its very tourquey is 2nd/3rd. I was concerned that it would be unnerpowered as she wanted something with more to offer than her 03 1.2 Clio. I drove it home and was impressed with how well it pulled!

Means I'll enjoy driving it!! :)

I have some ICE questions is there a seperate section on the forum for these or do I chuck them in this section?
