1.2 engine with 17'' alloys recommendations welcome

hi friends

my 1,2 5dr has 175x70x14 sized tyres and i wonder is there anyone who try the 17'' alloys or is it best to apply 185x65x15 wheels?
i am wondering about the fuel consumption and accelaration losses.

As long as you keep the rolling diameter roughly the same it shouldn't make much of a difference. Try googling for tyre size calculators and have a play around.

Something like 215/40 17s comes up as only a 3mm change in diameter (less than full tyre tread) on the calculator I used but please don't trust my randem inputs! Talk to a tyre dealer and I'm sure they will be able to recommend a set of tyres to match.

Moving to a less common tyre size can hurt on the pricing however...
