1.2...stefan's 1.2 Ibiza

hi all... just thought that as i have been using the site quite often over the past 2 weeks and hope to use it in the future id put up a pic of my new car and some info on what i will be doing and what has already been done....

its a 2003 seat ibiza 1.2s

this is what i brought it like... tottaly standard

first thing i did was spray the mirror covers silver... not trying to copy an FR just think they look nicer... and a nice set of areo wipers

then i brought a set of audi a3 (i think) 15 inch alloys.... not the best or nicest looking but for the time being i think they look good

then i got the front and back windows tinted

then yesterday i removed the rear wiper, due to some help of this site, debadged the car, and shortened the aireal to a nicer length

i have just ordered a new set of rub strips from seat and am in the process of removing the old ones... hopefully by next week theyll all be colour coded...

next things that i want to do is a new cupra back bumper... the colour diffrence of the 1 atm is shocking... then a cupra front bumper... lowering possible on coilovers depending on cash flow... a new bonet because of all the stone chips and whit under coat... and then a set of new alloys.

im not in a great rush to do all these jobs,,, im only 17 and am at collage training to be a mechanic (2nd year)... so cash flow aint great... altho being the holidays i have manged to get some cash to do the jobs that i have done over the last 2 weeks since i brought the car... its only a 1.2 so i dont thin i willbe doing anything under the bonnet..... any coments tips or things that you would recondmend would be great....

Some FR grills, LCR splitter, New zorst. Possibly some lowerling will look minted, good work so far

paintwork looks spotless for a 52 plate, some great mods there. not massively taken by the alloys though. i really want an emotion red one now

i'm thinking about getting some FR type mirror colours, no idea if they'd suit my colour though

cheers all for the comments.... yea the wheels arnt great but there better than wheel trims... and for £40 including 4 good, goodyear tyres i cant complain...

i have just ordered a set of wind deflectors and i collect my bump strips on tuesday so shold have a couple more things done by the end of this week... in the process of looking for a new exhaust... bidding for 1 atm on ebay... but i really, really dont want owt loud..

think i will defo get the grills and lcr splitter when i get me new front and back bumpers... cheers a gen

Nice car! Havent done any work on my 1.2 yet exept get some new Reg plates made as the others were wearing down a little. Not sure what i want to do on mine as i want to get rid of it next may then get another car. First thing is to get the dent reapired out the side of mine

Ver nice...but what's going on with the chunky tyres? I'm sure the tyres that came with the old sx on 15s were lower profile than those...195/55 maybe...

yea the tyres are a little chunky... ibut for the time they will do....

ordered some slimline wind deflectors this week andi collected my new rub strips yesterday.... brought some plastic primer and went to get my paint made up... i woulndt normally use halfords but on my last car there colour was perfect... so i got them to mix me a can... and the colour match is crapppppppppp!!!!! actully a bit annoied as i didnt see the colour match till it was on the car and now it means a nuther new rubstrip and more paint

i no the car is a little mucky lol

still looking for a cd player if any body has 1

yeah i only just finished lowering it to its maximum now...its always been lowered by about 80mm now its at its lowest and i still want lower! air ride maybe

cleanliness is the way forward, i hate mine being dirty!
i agree with halfords shat colour ,atching, bought a can for mine and it is absolutely nowhere near, its like a baby poo green colour not marvellous Ovin Yellow!
