1.2Tsi vs 1.0Tsi

My wife drives a 64 plate 1.2Tsi I think is around 105 hp which my daughter now also uses, we’re looking to get her something similar and quite a few Ibizas around the 2016 range are coming up with the 1.0Tsi, can anyone comment n any noticeable differences between the two engines, thanks

My wife’s car is an August 2015 Polo 1.2TSI 110PS 6MT, when we ordered it as a factory build we were warned that it might turn out to be a 1.0TSI 110PS 6MT as VW Group were trying to change over quickly from the belt driven 1.2TSI 16V 4 cylinder to the cheaper to produce 1.0TSI 3 cylinder versions of the EA211 family of engines - luckily our order went through the factory okay. I’m sure that the 1.0TSI 110PS will be okay - as long as it has the later cam pulley fitted - and not the original one which might just “come apart”!
