1.4 5 Door Sport Question

Im thinking about upgrading my brakes on my new ibiza "59" plate 1.4 5 door sport and wondered what options i have that would be a direct fit or easy choice? and also where i can get them from. .

well i dont think you can get the Racing brakes put on as the calipers are too big? i may be wrong. im Not too sure of what the disc size is on the 1.4 sports. but on cupras they are 288mm so you could get them i would guess? it will also depend on the size of your alloys to whether the brakes will fit.

Well at the minute ive got the standard 16s that came with the car but geting some cupra/boc alloys in the near future, i was thinking about the cupra brakes but wanted to know if they were a straight fit or not really. .that obv depends if there is much size difference?

Does anyone know the disc size on mine compared to the cupra?

Fronts 256x22 mm
rear 200x40 mm (232x9 with ESP)

Cupra:

front 288x55mm
rear 232x9mm

Well the back of mine has drums so thats a different matter but for upgrading the fronts to say cupra brakes what would be needed?

calipers, carriers, discs, pads? and i take it that it would be a direct bolt on upgrade?
