Had a bit of a tinker with Em's Ibiza last night, and noticed that there's quite a bit of white residue on the inside of the oil filler cap.
Have checked the coolant and it's fine, hasn't dropped at all. Also checked the dipstick and that's fine to.
Now, is it the headgasket gone, or just condensation due to the fact that she only does less than 5miles a day and the engine never really gets up to temp......
Got a 2 weeks off as of Friday, so I'll spend a couple of hours servicing it. Will run some engine flush in the oil for 20mins, and then change the oil, see if that helps.
Any other suggestions ???
Also, took the air filter off the top, to check that the butterfly valve was operating correctly, and noticed that there was a lot of 'steam' coming out of the crank case breather pipe.....
