Good to see what quarters these cars can run guys with a bit of modification.
Only one thing to note, not meaning to piss on anybodys fire but i feel times at crail are a bit micky mouse.
On the 205gtidrivers forum its been discussed loads before, why are ppls crail times
considerably quicker than their times at santapod in the same car?
Take this for an example, my friends been doing loads of santapod runs in a 190bhp (jamsport) striped out 205gti with an mi16 engine carbs cams headwork etc. His best time 14.2 at the pod with slicks and an quaiffe. This car only weighs 850kgs, not 1100 (thats being optimistic) like a seat. Kind of makes some of these crail times look dubious? Yet some of the crail times are similar to this for a 190 bhp lard arse seat.
Another example, a guy with a similar engine spec ran a 13.2 (with
video!) in his 205 in a similar spec car at crail. When he tried his car out at the pod his best time after lots of runs was 14.6, couldnt beat it.
All im trying to say is, run all of the cars at santapod and then you can compare quarter mile times, all the headwind and hot day stuff makes a slight difference granted, but only tenths of a second, not over a second as the previous example shows!
Nice time for the clio by the way! very very impressive.
