Hi guys,

Thought you might wanna have a peek at this, before you say i know its a Honda but i know how interested you lot are on the 1/4 mile subject.

I was impressed by the times this car was running and the fact it was still fwd. Notice the very wide front tyres and skinny little rears to help with the time.

have any of you guys gone for very wide fronts and ickle rears?

Hope you enjoy anyway, sorry it wasnt a SEAT but ill keep my eyes open for some.

cheers
Tom

lol wonder how many gear boxes and clutches that crunches through a year

impressive stuff

LOL quite a few

Looks like they have a fair amount of money looking at the transporter it was being backed out of.

company being CFT (central florida turbo) must be a tuning place

This kinda shows that fwd isn't useless at the 1/4 mile like some people suggest (not aimed at you btw)

ohyeah totally agree the biggest problem with fwd on the strip is getting the power down, those chunky beggers sure do the job

but then i seriously doubt those tyres are road legal, nor are they cheap! the transporter suggests this

as opposed to some f the fwd cars running big power but struggling to break 13s, tend to have driven to the show

Clicky

11.3@124 from a shonky nova back in 2004, at the time was the fastest fwd car in europe over the 1/4

Yep it is quick car and built on a budget aswell afaik.

I think the americans have the edge with regards to fwd drag racing as it's a much bigger sport over there, though we are catching up with them :)

I think the an racing rover 200 will crack the 10 second barrier this year, as i think the black mk2 golf from jabbasport has already done it

These wide enough :) http://jon44w.com/images/events/2006/200605140900/0121.jpg

I could be wrong but i think a old style micra got an 11.???sec at crail a few weeks ago. Stripped out GTI-R powered, slicks etc!! yee haa!!
