First service is basicly an oil change, oil filter and a visual check.
Tells you in your service book whats done at each service.

Btw on a TSi i get roughly 30mpg on my drive to work. But it is only 1mile away. So dosnt really have time to warm up.

However i do a 120 mile return motorway run every weekend and im seeing around 40mpg, 45mpg if im carefull.

Dude, you drive a mile to work?!:-o:wtf:

oh i use the car alot at weekends but the place i work is exactly 1 mile from my front door to my works carpark :)
so technicly 2 miles cus i gotta drive home obviosly!

(if you mean to say im lazy for driving a mile to work............... your right i am lol)

at the weekend i drive down to nottingham and back which is like a 120mile round trip + i use my car to get about down there but id say i do around 160miles a week sometimes less.

if i didnt do the motorway run at the weekend id get by on £50 a month fuel lol :D

belive me tho when the summer comes il be driving up and down through the peak district, fantastic driving roads around there :)

i havent seen a lot of yellow MK5s around to be honest, seeing a lot of whites, speed blue and bit more grey on the board now.

Fr is a no go I'm afraid, in negative equity and because of the chill version deal that's on it's brought down the buy back figure of a standard 1.4 a fair bit!
Bit gutted but it's nothing to worry about :)

Hi Giz, and welcome.
I own a 1.4 16v Chill, and am very impressed with the car all round. Strange as it may seem, my own personal fuel economy is around the mid to high 38+ . I seem to be getting more than most to a tank, but I'm used to driving to ecomical with the artic I driv for a living, and the cost of diesel, and I don't hang about either.
Honestly though, if fuel is a concern, get one of the TSi motor's, you won't regret it. But like RJi says, around town/short journey's the diesel probably woudn't perform at it's best.

On a brighter note my car had nothing wrong with it, was worried front tyres were a bit worn but they've still got plenty of life in em!
Took about a hour and half.
Fuel economy doesn't worry me at all, just wanted the fr power :)

Thanks Char. I really wanted a Cupra. Though the dealer did tell me, they would call me every year till the deal was up, to change the car. Next door neighbour is on his third Alfa on PCP, so there's always hope, and with the spec of the Chill, it'd be a good buy second hand/low mileage.
