1.4 TSi Oil filter removal

Any tips on removing the oil filter from above?

I won't be removing the floor pan (no ramps, suitable place etc etc to do it) but access from above is a bit limited.

Removing the air box flexible hose might help and is easy, but someone must have done it before so please do tell.

Surely someone's removed their filter topside?

Or is it magic...

From seeing where the filter is located from underneath, you'd be better trying to get at it from the bottom as I can't imagine getting at it from the top is going to be very easy.

Might be easier to let someone do the work for you.....

Where's the challenge in that.

I don't like paying someone £50 to do a 20 minute job, so where there's a will there's a way.
