Hi ant, yes the map is defiantly worth doing mate, a lot quicker on acceleration and a lot smoother power delivery, I didn't get the dyno run because the dyno was unfochnatly down on the day that I went, but approx figures on bhp, 125 to 155 approx, and I couldn't guess on the tourque, I went to stattlers in sheffeild, and there absolutely fantastic, they will advise you on anything, and on a plus side I believe that revo currently have a sale on at the moment, hope this helps bud.

One thing I will say is that u'll get slightly better result if you have a good air filter (like a pipercross or alernaative), and also an exhaust, (like a miltek or custom) I don't know what the difference would be without, but it give's you an excuse to get them none the less :)

This thread makes good reading for me; I'm picking one of these up tomorrow after work (same reason as Joe, baby on the way and needed something more practical / economical). :D

Good choice, seem to be a growing number of 1.4 TSI owners on here :)

Which version did you go for?

<useful info>
Thanks Simon, definitely something I'll look into I think. I'm in Manchester so I have a few places near me; Prosport in Stockport I've read good things about on this forum and I have used Awesome GTI in the past too (had a mk4 Golf some years ago). Currently working in Sheffield so that's another option... [B)]

It's a 2009 1.4 TSI Sport, was all set for a Golf GTI or Leon FR (2.0TSI) but as it'll be mainly used by the missus for shopping / ferrying a baby about I figured the 1.4 would be much better on fuel and still pokey enough to drive round town (plus much cheaper tax, insurance etc.). Hopefully it's the right choice. :think:

I'll get some pics up when I've met the required post count...
