1.8 TSI Manual Remap advice

Hi everyone, I know this has been asked a few times here but I'm debating getting a stage one remap on my MK3 Leon FR 1.8 TSI. How well does the car handle a remap? Has anyone had a remap done and can confirm if there car is still working or not? What are some of the more reputable tuning companies to go to? I'd love to hear from you!

Lots of people happily running a remap on their 1.8's with no issues - most of the 1.8 remap issues stem from the DSG gearbox (which you haven't got), as it's virtually on its limit from the factory

Company wise - Revo and Racingline are probably the most reputable, so it'd just be a case of finding an authorized agent via their website. I know Progressive Parts (a forum sponsor) are great, as are Midland VW - it just depends where in the country you are.
If you want a custom map, I can personally highly recommend More-BHP in Crewe (they did my car), or R-Tech in Leicester also get great reviews
