oo forgot to say love the new car too damien best colour by far the grey, i fancy one next but i just cant part with the cupra yet haha

I got 39 today on my 27 mile journey to work. Think I woulda made 40 but I can't go the full journey without giving it some haha

Checked my trip computer and over the past 950 miles I have only managed 30.2 mpg average lol I'll blame that on me giving it more beans since it got mapped again properly!

I don't want high mpg all the time, or I would have bought a diesel lol :p I just fancied seeing how high I could get it, as it will probably be the only time in the cars life that the average mpg reads over 50

Fair enough :p I sometimes wish I had got the 20vt but would cost too much in petrol for the miles I do

Best I have managed so far is 38 mpg. That was driving from oxford to kingslynn. Gave it a bit of stick for the first half of the journey, but when I got onto the m11 I just bimbled along at 60 and got the mpg up. I'm sure if i dorve like a girl thewhole way I could get the mpg up more.

On another note.....when your bimbling along like a old geezer......does any one else like to keep making their car "sneeze" lol. I always have to get some sneezes in from the dv. haha guess its just me being a geek as its my first turbo'd car and dv.

Don't know how you lot do it tbh, I get around 40mpg on a run, however, i drive to work every day thru town roads, I drive like a granny (as I'm half asleep usually), and get 31mpg around town. Beauty of it is I can easily, smoothly drive and change up at 1500rpm, as the stage 2 map is so torquey. Benefits of diesel without noise/smell/lack of revs lol

most iv managed out of a full tank is 330miles all done on motorways in one go.

If I want to fall asleep at the wheel on a 40mile trip that I regularly do, I can get 47.5mpg indicated..that's with a stage 1 map. My normal total average sits around 38mpg. I do use the power, just not all the time.

(Running on Tesco 99ron, seems good stuff to me!)
