1.9tdi oil??

just about to service my 06 1.9tdi altea,i'm a bit confused about what grade oil to put in,is vw 505.01 ok for the pd engine.ive been told the 1.9s dont have a DPF.
(great car,had it for 4 yrs with no probs trust the 1.9 engine,also drive a vw transporter with same unit,done 91000 in two yrs without a murmur.

Yes, no DPF in the 1.9. 505.01 should be right for that engine, check in the sticky thread at the top of the TDI section to be sure.

I have a 1.9tdi and have always used Millers PD, I agree the 1.9 is a good motor, a little unrefined but rock solid.
