I wasn’t aware they made one buddy (i might be wrong), there’s the 1.4 16v I think there fairly nippy! Your best bet is a lupo GTI, they hold there money well though! :D

Ditto. I'd once seen a picture in a SEAT dealership of a red arosa with white wheels and a white roof (about 5-6 years ago). I ended up getting a Lupo GTi instead, but don't think anything beyond the 100bhp 1.4 16v Arosa was available to UK (equivalent to Lupo 1.4 16v Sport). Nippy car, but a lot of body roll.

As far as i know the 1.6 only came in the Lupo GTI as 125bhp, The arosa made 100bhp from a 1.4

i once had a bit of a "race ona private test track" with one of these,( the arosa 16v)the little swine actually beat me off the line and round the first corner, it took me till nearly 75 mph before i could get past him! surprisingly quick for such a small engine! just shows how much more important power to weight ratio is over just raw power! and it looked soooooooo cool slammed on ronal turbos!:funk:

I think they only weigh about 970kg's. I bought my Lupo GTi as I wanted to see if they had recaptured the essence of the Golf Mk1 GTi. The wheelbase was a touch short so the car could be skittish (I was running HR springs lowered 30mm and koni dampers), and a set of Wolfrace Voodoo 195/40/16's. After changing the suspension the brakes were also a bit weak, but other than that it was a blast. Some of the best fun I've ever had in a car, a real go-kart! With a 1.8T it would have been amazing (or a new 1.4 TFSi)

I still have an custom made acoustic parcel shelf for the Arosa/Lupo in the loft with MB Quart 6x9 3 way speakers, grey acoustic cloth and detachable cabling in case I ever get another Lupo as a kickabout town car.

Yep, only went upto the 1.4 16V. Anything above that will be what some kid at a scrapyard made using an old cavalier engine or summ@.

I have one and it is pretty quick, but i use if for motorway miles and could do with 6 gears as you soon run out of revs :-o
