Im going to take it to a guy who did my dads bmw, he is in chorley... No reviews on him but his car has been fine so i trust him....

Why doesnt anybody care what the figures say? As long as it feels noticeably faster and you enjoy your own car its all good :)

Agreed. And it will very much be noticeable!

Ooooh someone is very much sold on their figure:lol:

I cant even be bothered to read through all that, the bit about Seats producing more on the dyno than VWs made me chuckle though.

FYI try having a look online at how easily and frequently Dynos are manipulated then you may understand why i dont believe for a second that your CR140 is producing 196hp from just a remap and an EGR delete. Put it on a reputed Dyno and see if you get anywhere near that figure.

My figures are of no consequence to me, they were part of a RR day organised on SCN, Not part of a company's ploy to take my money ;)

so enlighten us a little here and tell us what makes a rolling road "reputable"

My car made stock figs on the rollers and then made 203bhp when mapped

At one point i9t made 213bhp but the map wasnt the smoothest

And i fully trust the person 100% that done the map and readouts so i know for a fact there was no hocus pocus with the figs

oh and to put a cherry ontop of yer cake it still has the DPF on :D

haters are gonna hate each and every time

Apparently the DPF on the newer CR is no where near as restrictive as people think. I did speak to them about it and he could easily have taken more money off of me to remove it and map it out but he assured me there was very little gains to be had. More a case of removing any potential issues with the unit.

Ive had a nightmare with mine, the light comes on every other week, i have to make a dedicated drive to sort it...

What sort of miles are you doing between the light coming on ?

I have NEVER had the light on yet.

Yes there are regens occurring ( raised idle speed at standstill ) - but I have never seen the "must do a regen" light.

I suspect a sensor is faulty.

Noo, it dont do many miles most journeys my engine defo wont get up to temperature, it does regens with high revs but normally when i first notice it i get the ligjt within 5 mins

You need to watch for the signs of a regen happening and try to let it finish

Higher than normal idle when stationary - about 1000/1100 rpm
Burned rubber smell from the exhaust
cooling fans still running when you switch off the engine

If you fail to allow a regen to finish 4 times or more it brings the light on to warn you it MUST complete a regen

ALSO - try not to load the engine up too much
20 in 2nd gear
30 in 3rd gear
40 in 4th gear
etc

It helps with fuel economy as well as less soot in the dpf

Somewhere known for a realistic and accurate reading, not some backyard place that will tell you EXACTLY what you want to hear

213HP from a standard CR140? So your CR140 makes as much as mapped CR170's? Really? This just gets better and better. And FYI the standard reading was 149, against an official figure of 143hp, so that's 6hp to start with

Haters gonna hate. Really..... Usually said by complete idiots trying to justify something hideous or pointless whilst spending too much time trying to be 'scene':censored:[:@]
I think that's me just about done with this topic, can't converse with people that come out with that 'Haters are gonna hate' nonsense. Why would i hate when i own a 2.0 TFSI?:D

Not worthless at all, very interesting. Already found 6hp before you start over the standard official figure. For the most part it indicates you are making 180ish hp until there is suddenly a few nasty spikes that CONVENIENTLY give you your 200+, mapped CR170 territory figure for about 100-200 rpm then you're back down to realistic 180hp readings. Nothing to brag about and it wont be any quicker than any other stage 1 mapped CR140.

And if you call that smooth in comparison to the 213hp run, i dread to think what that graph looked like:rofl:

Just leave it be, his car is over 200+ bhp at some point according to the data, nobody else can prove otherwise. He enjoys his car, you enjoy yours, dont get why we get so many arguments on here.,. Its very annoying,.. If you wish to inform everybody about the vast knowledge on remaps that you have then make a post for it.... Id defo read it

I second that. Let's debate remaps somewhere else not high jack others threads. Danfr you seem to be quite knowledgable about remaps, make a thread. Your clever enough to know all your doing is winding people up. Il post my printout up in a new thread and I would actually like to hear your comments.

if you look at the torque curve you will see that having peak hp at 3800rpm is not a bad thing as you change gear into higher torque than if you were revving higher... its not better but it does mean you get more of a shove when you change gear
