17'' LC alloys What tyre size?

My mate wants to fit my old Leon Cupra 17'' star fish alloys to his ibiza. We tried them on but they rub tyre size is 225/45/17. What tyre size will be needed to stop the rubbing?

215/40/17 are the cupra 17's they dont scrub he should be ok with those.
Might have a little stretch on the tyres but it will look good

Is it ok to stretch the tyres then?

Tyre stretch is fine, Jap drifters do it to increase the strength of the sidewall. Technically its safer aslong as the stretch isnt rediculous
