170 TDi Remap?

Going by various tuners figures and on here the 170 will remap to around 200BHP. Brilliant but what difference does that actually make?

Has anyone tested 0-60, top speed etc before and after a remap?

not tested it but after the remap your car moves into a different league, you'd leave a standard tdi 170 for dead.

Im thinking of having mine done and have been quoted 210bhp and some stupid torque figures. Not really that bothered about 0-60 as that is not relevant to real world driving! Would imagine that it will besimilar to FR Petrol as that has 200 bhp so it should be around 7 secs!

It's quick but if like to shagg the clutch/transmission carry on, better do the 30 onwards time - you'll still go through tyres though!!! it's all down to the massive torque hike [ 15k since remap]

That sounds so tempting! Would a remapped FR really leave the standard 170 for dead........

No, not really

Yes it'll pull away, but remember its only a 30Bhp hike...

The best bit is the power pulling all the way to 4,500 and still strong at near 5,000 - that makes a bigger difference than the power increase.
