17704 cooling system malfunction

just had this error code cleared off my car by a m8 but i dont undastand what the probel can be?coolent temprature and level is ok not overheating or anything.anybody had this code before and what was the outcome problem wise.if any?

ive had the same code cleared too and car can be jerky/surging until it reaches 90c. im about to replace the temp sensor. this ringing true?

whats the remap connection?

Exactly what i'm getting, is this the sensor in the expansion tank?

im not sure but i dont think so. theres another one on one of the coolant pipes. ive yet to look.

it's a dimsport issue (likely) so refer to jabbasport

not in my case mork. been jabba`d for over a year with no issues. only started getting probs a week ago. ive picked up the sender/clip/seal from the stealers. anyone know where i fit it on the leon?

I think it's the one above the gearbox towards the back of the engine. Might not be green like the replacements are.

only known problems is the coolant temp sender or the thermostast and water pump if over heating. the header tank doesnt bring up a fault code just the temp light flashing in the morning. but as mork says a remap problem is one of the main causes fopr soom reason more on the auq engine
