Back to my problem that I've not fixed yet the 17705 code I've now got vagcom and when the car is started check fault codes on vagcom 17705 is there so try clear the code on idle it won't clear but if I hold the revs on slightly then clear the code it clears but let off the throttle again and try it it won't clear?? Does this still sound like a bad remap?

Thanks in advance.

I already know that mate but what I'm asking is why does it clear with revs on but won't when on idle? I'm just trying to find out as much info as this code is pissing me off now and I've tried everything

Bypass the N249, see if that resolves anything (could still be a leak somewhere)
Faulty N249, replace it
Faulty DV? Replace it or service it if you have an aftermarket one
Strip the throttle body and give a good clean with some carb cleaner and then alignment reset via VAGCOM
Check all hoses relating the PCV system

Pretty much everything ross tech says....

How do you know the MAF is OK?

What Map are you running?

What engine is it?

What happens when you clear the code with the ignition on, but engine not running?

What numbers are your fuel trims from block 32?

You running an open cone filter? Some of the oil based ones can kill the MAF see

But also sounds like a bad map, with these babys i'd only ever get something proper....i'm eyeing up a REVO Stage 1 end of the month if I have the dollar

I've tried another maf mate still same and don't no I bought the car like that but didn't no it had this problem as it didn't go into limp for a few days and it's a 04 cupra 180 auq. If ignition on codes there and can clear it but soon as u start the car leaves a few seconds turn off scan again code it there. But like my status says its strange when the cars running and on idle it won't clear but hold the revs on it let's me clear the code then back on idle code comes back :/ and carnt remember fuel trims will do it again tonight but they looked ok tho

I've tried a few cone filters and I've now gone for a s2000 one as everyone seems to be using them with no problems and there really cheap :) I know someone who will put my Ecu back to standard very cheap so I'm hoping it works then yeh I'm sorting mine out for a revo stage 2 once I've got my fmic and exhaust system

What you say here makes me think that there is either a sensor on its way out, or you have a leak.

If it was software related, it’d be more consistent when it happens. But because it happens as you describe above, it seems that the ECU is able to adapt around the fault under some running conditions.

Thats not how this glitch works. Its to do with some sort of sensing at cold start. If you avoid doing a certain thing, you can avoid it. Sorry for the vagueness, I have it written down and don;t want to give the wrong info
