I have bought a set of FR bumpers and I was wondering if the ones I'll be taking off my 2.0 TDi Sport would be worth anything?

Maybe for people who bought a basic model?

They are Emocion Red and have about 17,000 on them.

I know that the BTCC bumpers have a different crash bar underneath.

Sport bumpers are the same as the other lesser leons.

I never got round to sending you those instructions mate!

They have arrived today from a Seat dealership near Hastings. I spoke to the chap there and requested some instructions on fitting them, so hopefully I have something.

But if you do have something you could send, that would be appreciated. I think I'm going to ask the garage across the road from work to fit them for me, since I don't have the space.

Reckon it should cost £50 or so.

Not sure what to do with the ones that will come off. I doubt my hoarding nature will allow me to discard them.

well, you never know, the bumpers might be useful to someone who's had a slight accident or scrape either at the front or rear (or both?!?!)

I bought my new fr bumpers from them too ;)
But be warned, if the bumpers are painted in a metallic paint, you may have to get them resprayed once on the car (As I have ! :( )

do they not match?

Nope ! My car is black magic and so are the bumpers, however when put on the car they look completely different colours !!! Thankfully I live 10mins from the dealer in question, so there were actually fitting them for me. Its now going in on Monday to have them sprayed to match. There was alot of arguments between staff there though, as no-one could work out why they didn't match colourwise. It was decided in the end that it must be because of the way they are painted in the factory being that they are metallic....
The garage are paying for half the cost of painting though so I'm happy !

The paintshop wanted £200 including fitting the bumpers and a new twin pipe sports exhaust, but I'm only paying £100

Mine are in Emocion Red (flat red).

Must admit; they aren't in amazing condition - they are dirty and there is suspect stuff on the surface. I think I will need to t-cut and then wax when I get them put on.

Out of interest, where are you getting yours fitted? My local dealer want £217 to fit them :(

Because I am ashamed to say that I am a complete spanner when it comes to anything even vaguely mechanical and that probably applies to all my friends too.

Oh, and I have no space either.
