Hello all,

I have almost brand new (only 7500 km) Seat Leon with 2.0 TSI and DQ380. Recently i noticed that when i stop (gear knob on position D and R) completely i can hear inside the car rattling noises. They disappear then i start moving or put know on P position. On N position is way more quiet. Noise i can hear especially inside and it's loud enough that i can hear even when i'm listening radio (not so loudly). When i was checking during working inside engine buy i can bearably hear it but it was audible, i just couldn't locate it because 2.0TSI is big compere to 1,4 TSI.

Edit: To make it more clear. This sound is constant and and sounds like something knocking very fast in the tact of engine rpm. it's sound a little bit like fuel injectors, but quicker. Mayby it's some clutch vibration or bearing.

I also observed that this noise appear then i warm up engine above 60 deg C (oil temperature - Ravenol 0W30). When engine is cold no rattling noises at all. I went to Seat shop and said that's normal for this set of engine and transmission. It's hard to believe because i was driving other car (just different color) and didn't heard anything. Also I think that the loudest think in the car during standing on traffic lights the loudest should be A/C and engine not transmission (just guessing).

My parents has T-Roc with 1,5 TSI and also DSG and it's silent. I know that it's different set but still. I check internet and i saw few topic with similar issues.

Before i will escalate it in shop i want to ask you what do you think about it. I will mention that besides rattling noises when i stop car driving normally but i love this car and i want to to keep it healthy. Please advice.

I'm Polish so maybe i didn't describe it well (names of sounds), but based on you answer i can say that transmission should be dead silent, and everything what i should hear it should be engine sound ( no additional noises when i have car on D and R)?

i spoke with college from another city who has exactly same car (he made already 35 000 km) and over this time he had only issue with some thermal shield near gearbox. He promised me that he will check it tomorrow and let me know but according to him he never had such an issue and he suspect that flywheel is defected.
