I mentioned this in another thread about VR6 conversions, but in case you didn't spot it...

1.4 Ibiza has no rear ARB - which could conspire to make going round corners "interesting". Suggest it would be easier to get a complete rear beam from a higher spec Ibiza - mk2 GTI, Cupra Sport or mk3 20vT should do the trick. Gets you the rear disks and ARB with minimal hassle.

Whats the point of putting Vr6 into ibiza...ABF with new program : 175km 220nm.....tested on dyno....with standard airbox and exhaust....and the fuel consumption is still as it was before....

Sometimes its less about the dyno figures and more about the grin factor :D

Plus the VR6 makes an awesome noise.

Agreed. :D

Plus, you tune up your 2l 16v to get similar figures to standard vr...... VR with a couple of tweaks... Plus the power of the VR is so much more useable.

Dont get me wrong - i have a 2l 16v too which is great fun - but i wouldnt compare the two. Its not all about figures.

I would disagree about weight though. Ibiza VR is about 200kgs lighter than a mk3 golf.
