It doesnt work like that. The engine will still rev at the same RPM per MPH.

So a 130bhp car as standard that does 70mph @ 2,200rpm that has had a big turbo etc etc running 280bhp will still only do 70mph at 2,200rpm.

MPH vs Revs will only increase if you increase revs, so take the limiter off or up. Which on a diesel is pretty damn usless indeed. As By 5,100rpm (limiterish) you have very little power due to the way diesel and the engine works.

In terms of what a leon will do in 2nd it will achieve about 58 on the clock tho little point in going that far as the power dies rapidly after 4500 rpm any way unless you have a car which has a high map on it and they usually go all the way to 5200 rpm with little drop off in power.

my ibiza tdi 110 re-mapped does 20-60 in about 4.5seconds its a bitch when u have a change gear at 55mph...just that lil bit more and it would be so much faster!

110bhp to 160bhp, 205nm to 305nm. not sure on the exact numbers but i think thats there or there abouts, i havent had it on a rolling road cos i got other things in mind before i do that

I will give that one ago, as imho a good way of testing real power/gear ratio's between Ibiza/Leons etc

It would be for me. 40mph in 4th is about 2000rpm so I would be more off-boost then. Would much prefer to be at 2500 in 3rd and I would be faster even with a gearchange. I would "hope" my 40 to 100 is around 9 seconds, but that's just a guess. I know 3rd would pick up at 10mph per second, but not sure how 4th would do.

The corsa vxr 888 (225bhp) does 40 to 100 in fourth at 10.5 seconds too

seems very quick considering whats his name with the 260 bhp fabia vrs said about 5 seconds... ???

i'll try the 40 to 100 test later today.
