Hi, im sure there is a thread but after alot of searching i could not find it!! i have a mk 2 1,4 leon which just died, no knocks bangs then refused to start, all lights ok, fuel pump has pressure to inectors(tho not cracked injector to see if to cylenders, good spark, turns over but sounds as if turning in cream and not trying to fire, i am thinking only thing to do this(other thn snapped crank!) is crank sensor! tried all i can, will put vdcs on weekend when i get a win 8 laptop(i have 10, no drivers for aftermarket lead) question is has anyne else had this and m i on the correct track?? as i cant test was gonna whip out sensor tom and clean..
 
Crank sensor normally stops spark aswell as injector pulse
Have u checked all relays/fuses
If your getting a getting spark id check for fuel getting to cylinders
Have your removed the plugs and checked the condition and to see if they wet from fuel
Also u say it sounds like its turning in cream do you mean its slow turning over ??

What area u in maybe somebody on here could help you with vcds or look at it for you for a few coffees and biscuits lol

thans, ive checked all relaysand fuses and fuel ok as far as injetors,not took plugs out so wi it just died, no knocks bangs or pops which leads me to think no broken crank, usually knocking or some sign of this but nothing, car turns ok, can hear valves but seems as if its so smooth i wonder if pistons moving but as i say had crank snapped when died i was doing 80, it died as if it was my bike running out of fuel, she now turns but i feel without fuel it sounds like the pistons are not goin(altho they are) as no fuel to fire, oil clean, water clean, no crank snapping issues, maybe no compression but occasionally there is a little burble when turning which leads me to fuel or some electrical fault, as i say was goin ok, doin 80 just died as if fuel starvation but pump primes and good pressure as far as injectors, ill crank plugs out see if wet and put cap of fuel dierect in cylinders tom, i have vdcs just my laptop is win 10 so no drvers for lead, i can get a win 8 one sat for scan, between then ill pull out plugs etc, thanks more to try!!! ill update! any more things please quote!! oh im sufolk by the way!
 
had i not been in car id say crank not goin round but as i was no way it snapped like that, no noise, smooth as if fuel, but had i just looked at it id say crank, but as i say no metal in oil, no grinding,knocking,oil loss,holes, it just died as if fuel swithcrd off, could it be blocked inectors or ecu not making inectors inject?? plugs out and fuel in top i think, with spark if it tries to fire its gotto be fuel. also i cant hear pump prime when door opens but lights work as does buzzer so swith good and fuel goes 2 ft high with pipe off in engine bay so pressure good and flow at pump good, so all relays and fueses ok! gonna be one of those things methinks! also dont think crank as when it died on dual carridgeway i turned on and off and dumped clutch at 60 pistons going up and down just brrr with no firing! so pistons connected, more im sure its fuel, if ok to injectors is there a fuse or ecu module to get them to inject?

MORE HELP PLEEEEASE!!! UPDATE!!! have checked fuel, great pressure and flow all the way to the rail, pistons going up and down as expected! all fueses relays ok, spark great but plugs dry, the fuell goes to the rail into a vacuum?? valve?? of some sort then along the rail to the injectors, so its either the funny vale the fuel pipes gointo on the rail blocke rail or the ecu not saying petrol to the injectors, as spark and all else good i doubt the ecu so what is this valve and would failure kill the car thro fuel starvation or could it be ecu not telling injectors to fire??? any help please dont want to replace a rail when its a valve and vice versa!
