Hi Everyone!

Thought i would start a new thread in this section as a progress thread as i will be updating quite alot

Im new here, but got the car i wanted!

So the car I went for is a 2008 (58) Seat Leon FR. I have always liked them since coming out and with the bodykits on even more! So I went out of budget a little to make sure I got a nice, newish, low mileage, white Leon with all the options.

The car has the BTCC bodykit fitted finished in White. It has all the usual spec, Bluetooth headunit with steering wheel phone controls, ipod connectivity, cruise control and so on which is lovely to have.

The comfort and feel of the car is lovely, drives so well and the handling is unreal. It really holds on in the corners and does not fail to dissapoint!

The engine is 170bhp as standard which is plenty for now, returning 45mpg easily, or about 41mpg after having a bit of a spirited drive

Anyway here are some pictures of the car:

Plans in the next few months:

First up get my private plate on it, as the square front plate is awful! To me its ruining the front end of the car.

Secondly give the car a full detail and wax using dodo juice products.

The wheels are going to be professionally refurbished in gloss black, no rattle cans!

Paint the Calipers.

H&R 50mm Lowering Springs/Eibach Sportlines???

This will all be done asap.

Plans in the long run:

Stage 1 - Revo software + DPF Removal + Milltek Turbo back.

Coilovers.

BBS LM/CH reps.

Xenon headlights (full headlights not HID's)

That's about it. There will be plenty of other little bits I will do though

So today i decided to upgrade all my bulbs to LED.

Tools needed:

First up was to take out fuse 15, 7.5amp fuse:

First one i went for was the vanity lights:

Very simple, screw driver on one side, gently prise it out and swap the bulbs.

Next up was the centre light:

Bit of a mess by here:

Rear was a little trickier:

This was quite hard to come out had to really put some force in.

Boot light, again really easy:

Just had to bend contact points a little to stop bulb spinning:

Number plate lights:

These unscrew and leave a large hole:

All my kit come from PUL Parts you like. They are very good and would recommend anyone to using them!!

Something that has really bugged me since buying the car is this:

The Second to left light being dimmer than all the others, didn't even want to attempt looking at it as i am crap with electrics. Buuuuut started to really pi$$ me off so opened it all up to see if there was anything obvious to sort... lucky for me.. there was!

The left light was a silvertech bulb no idea why, but it was. Anyway, stole a sidelight from the headlights...

Sorted!

So seeing as i stole my sidelights best change them too:

So thats all those little niggles sorted!!

Next up, HID's lolchav:

Also the car came with shite tyres. The offside is a Primwell, with perished edges and 3mm tread, nearside is a Kenda, with 6mm of tread.. two highly sought after tyre choices by the previous owner :/

So had to get some decent rubber on it. These were rated very highly among owners and friends:

So got a set.

Wheels refurbished in gloss black:

Calipers painted red, hubs painted black makes a huge difference i think!

Got all the bulbs from www.partsulike.co.uk as recomended on here.

how do you get the plasctic off the interior light to get to the bulbs and i dont want to break it also do they need to be canbus bulbs?

Mine were all canbus bulbs from the above site.

The plastic comes off by giving a slight bit of force.
