Hi troops,
I've just got myself an RNS 315 with DAB, Bluetooth and NAv.
Whats the easiest way to get the old unit out. All the guides seem to be on the pre facelift model (or am i missing something?)

Any advice will be greatly appreciated :)

Congrats, top choice in sat nav unit!

You'll need to pull of the plastic surround of to remove the old unit, use a trim remover or something. A knife or edge of an ice scraper should suffice. Once that's out you'll see 4 screws to undo then it will just slight out. Disconnect the quadlock and antenna then job done :)

If you haven't already you'll need a new plastic surround to fit the shape of the RNS 315, looks a bit like this:

Cheers amigo, went out to power it up today before I left the feedback on fleabay. I'm gathering the different bits I think I need to to get it working. Has anyone got a pdf or copy of an instruction manual?
So far I have bought the unit and a GPS aerial arrived today as well. I am waiting on the FM aerial adaptor, double din Fascia adaptor, DAB Aerial and not too sure if there is anything else that I need?
I tried the units Nav, bluetooth phone and the bluetooth music stream which was awesome on my Galaxy S4. The phone dialed and received but the other person couldn't hear me on the other end. Does it need an external mike? Does it have an inbuilt mike?

Can't post the pictures as I aint posted 15 times even though I thought I had?

Cheers amigo, thats a great help.

I'm hunting for the mic install. seen some on ebay but want to make sure I get the right one. Can only find them from German suppliers. Couple of UK ones but the cable is tiny.

More googling to be done :)

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I'm planning on doing the same in the next few weeks.
What is the fm ariel adaptor you're talking about?
Also, did you source a mic with a long enough lead?

Cheers
