Hi all, I've had my 2014 Leon FR for two months now. The past week or so it's been telling me it's due an oil change and inspection, so I got the service booklet out the glovebox this morning ready to get it booked in, and I'm now somewhat confused.
Page 6 indicates the car is on a LongLife service (Flexible) scheme, with the delivery inspection carried out on 25th August 2014. I've then got two service receipts recorded in there: One for 13th August 2015 by the same dealer indicating it was NOT a LongLife service, car was inspected and oil was changed, nothing else changed/replaced. It says the next service is due in a year's time or at 14,000 miles (the car is currently on 11,000).
The next entry is for 14th April 2016 by Arnold Clark in Elgin (where I bought the car from in June). Again, wasn't a LongLife service, inspection and oil change done but all other boxes are ticked 'no'. This one says the next service is due April 2017 or 19,000 miles.
I've spoken to my local SEAT dealer (not the one above), they've said it sounds like Arnold Clark have serviced it early for some reason but not updated the car's own servicing schedule; they won't update it unless it's been serviced by them. I've spoken to Arnold Clark, they've said to just take it to a local branch and they should be able to reset it.
Is it now just a case of getting it reset and then servicing the car next April? There's nothing to indicate when filters etc need changing so I'm unsure what would actually be due if I was getting it serviced now? Anyone able to clarify?
Cheers!
