2016 Leon FR 184 long crank

So i bought the car 3 weeks ago, noticed few things like rattle near steering wheel over bumps but have heard it’s no worry. The major issue is the infamous long crank. Have heard a lot about it but not sure if i can do anything, Mine is the 2016 so no idea if has the VVT. It’s very inconsistent and seems to start perfectly fine sometimes even first time of the day, then can take 5 seconds on a startup later that day. Any help would be great.

Check your engine code.
CUPA = EU5= NO VVT
CUNA = EU6 = VVT

I have a battery monitor and it has builtin cranking test. It shows the voltage drop when cranking, and will warn you when its abnormal. I can highly recommend adding one to your car(s).

Does not have to be the cause in your case, but it can help with eliminating probably causes.
