2016 spec display on a 2014 car

I have a 2014 spec cupra, and I've seen and heard about the 2016 cars running the gauges on the centre screen. I want to know how to get them on my 2014 ?

You can't. It is not in that system.
I know one person who got the complete latest 6.5 system from ebay and had the old navi replaced by it (also need to adapt the system by a specialist to the car) and now he has it but does cost a few pence.

A hell of a lot, I was speaking to the guy who did it.

The unit has to be sent to spain to hack it.

Would have been cheaper to upgrade to a 2016 car!

Its not super difficult, its the cost.

You have to buy new screen, new processor, new USB socket. then send them off to spain for them to be hacked to get around component protection.

And if we are speaking about media change - did anybody changed it to some non-OEM solution, like this, or better this one??
Does it work?
Are you then able to operate car settings?? To see consumption, set illumination, etc??

He replaced it with the 6.5 "set of 2016 (not plus version) by replacing screen unit and glovebox unit.
After doing that he went to a specialist that unlocked the unit for his car.
