If you choose the SEAT Sound option, you have to have the spare wheel. There is a subwoofer with the pack. I thought, like you say, you wouldn't be able to have the sapre with a sub.

It's a dinky little space saver, sub sits in the middle, think bike tyre

Just seen a few reviews on the new golf with the 1.5 TSI EVO

Same power and torque and pretty much the same CO2 as 1.4, possibly higher CO2!

I was expecting the power to be the same as that's been said all along. And the torque is limited by the gearboxes they use, but was expecting the CO2 to drop considerably. It seems like the entire Golf's mk7.5 CO2 has jumped up. Just looked at the new GTD estate and it's predecessor was 115g/km. Now it's 124g/km!

I have the vehicle detail sheet and its status code 10 already, with a build week of week 15. I am not taking delivery until end of June though, to tie in with my current lease going back.

Nice, good price too (I've seen the pistonheads thread)!

I'm not sure how it works in other countries but in the UK all carbon emitting cars are going to be £140 per year tax anyway so no specific targets to aim for. Maybe they just thought sod it!!!???!!!

The 1.5 TSI uses the Milller combustion cycle which should produce reduced real world fuel consumption, by allowing earlier ignition timing and an (effectively) larger expansion stroke. This is also the reason for the small hike in capacity - the Miller cycle is slightly less volumetrically efficient. The Miller cycle also makes for reduced NOx and particulate emissions, as a secondary effect of creating a more complete fuel burn.

It also uses a variable geometry turbo to give a broader torque curve, and reduced lag.

Incremental performance improvements rather than huge leaps, but it should be better than the 1.4 in theory.

I'm a penny pinching company car driver so CO2 is everything. I was disappointed that I was gonna miss out on the 1.5 by only a few months, expecting it to be a lot lower CO2 and so a lot cheaper, but if it isn't then I don't feel so bad. :)

Are you a student?

Of course, I didn't even think from business point of view! I've never had a company car though so the thought never even crossed my mind.

could be that Seat/VAG are now telling the truth (or at least their version of it... ) ;)

Does anyone know where I could view or download the owner's manual, and the user manual for the 8 inch infotainment Navigation System High on the facelifted UK SEAT Leon FR? I really want to check out all of the features in detail and exactly how they work before deciding whether to replace my current 2013 SEAT Leon FR with a new facelifted SEAT Leon FR in a few months time!

you want to change the car for the screen?

Now that road tax has less to do with co2 we'll start to see more realistic mpg and co2 figures.
It's been obvious for years that car manufacturers were making up the co2 figures/fiddling with the tests so that they wouldn't have to pay more in first year road tax. Anything less than 130g co2 was free first year tax.....which got abused imo
Why nothing was ever done about it I'll never know - it's blatant tax dodging.

I see the standard FR seats have been changed, they now come with less "leather" and are mostly cloth with just the outside band remaining. The rear are now fully cloth.

Pics of changes mentioned.

It does look good. I must admit, the grey looks well too.
