the 300 ps Golf R estate had 5.1 seconds to 62 mph and less CO2 with this exact engine. unless the CUPRA 300 is intentionally sabotaged, those figures must be incorrect.

all the other CO2 and acceleration figures are exactly the same as for the 290 version. unless SEAT finally admits that they were actually using the same Golf R engine, with 10 extra PS on a wider RPM range and extra torque, I figure you must gain at least 0.1 seconds to 62 mph.

besides that, the design changes are subtle but nice. the white stripes on the interior are gone, we have full black now.

It's more of vwag picking co2 figures as they please. It's always audi that have the best mpg then vw then skoda and seat yet they'll all be running the same engine. Even the 0-60 times seem to be questionable in the same ilk

Where are you seeing the info? I know Seat.com has figures for all the Cupra range but the engine figures are noted as provisional....

Austrian site doenst seem to have pictures.

German site is working with configurator for Cupra & ST Cupra. Liking the look of the performance pack wheels again.

Good colour choice this time also Mystery Blue looks good would be interested to see in person.

Not crazy about the mandatory 19" wheels, even if you don't opt for the performance package with the bigger brakes. 18" wheels would be big enough for the standard trim in my opinion. But that's just me and I'm not really in the market of upgrading to a Cupra just yet... :)
While we're on the subject... I would have loved to get a manual 4Drive version, like the Golf R hatcback was (not the estate for some reason). But, I guess the majority of buyers are selecting the DSG anyway...

I Iike it. Also, the white was a pain for picking up the dye from your jeans.

When ordering last year I ordered without the white strips for that exact reason. Pictures don't do it any justice, it looks really well.
