Hi everyone,

Hoping someone can help with issues that have developed on my Ateca.
2021 SEAT Ateca XPERIENCE TSI EVO

Steering wheel buttons are mostly not working:
  • Left/right navigation: unresponsive 90% of the time
  • VIEW + OK buttons: unresponsive or working sometimes
  • Up/down scroll: works fine
  • Can't navigate MFD properly
Also MFD gets stuck sometimes.

SEAT Connect completely broken:
  • Can't register/activate at all
  • "Unable to load user profile" error
  • Globe icon missing from infotainment menu
  • Privacy settings unavailable
  • Information/Assistance calls deactivated
  • SOS button still works (green light)
  • SEAT Digital Support confirmed software issue, needs TPI2066766 firmware update:
"For MOD3.1 please perform TPI2066766/* Afterwards, check the function of the mobile online services."
They will know what it means and how it should be performed.

Tried infotainment reset (10-15sec power hold) loads of times - no luck. Factory reset same issue.

Took it to an independent VW garage - no error codes found on diagnostics. Looks like a software issue?

Has anyone had this? I've tried all "standard" reset options already. Hardware issue or worth trying resets battery disconnect/pull fuse?

Cheers

Likely to be defective buttons. As for the software updates, we can perform them
Hi,

I know you can do software updates :). I looked at your website before considering the SEAT MQB Virtual Cockpit retrofit: https://eastyorkshireretrofits.co.u.../products/leon-ateca-virtual-cockpit-retrofit

The issue is I'm based in Bradford - that's a 2-hour drive to East Yorkshire Retrofits. Plus I'm not sure what's happening with this problem yet, whether it's software or mechanical.
When I took the car to a VW garage, no error codes were found on diagnostics. It actually worked fine for a few days afterwards, so it looks like an intermittent issue. I'm not sure what's causing it.
From my Google research, I understand the software on my car is 2 years old might be outdated.
Current software info from infotainment:
  • Device part number: 575035862B
  • Hardware: H57
  • Software: 0804
  • Navigation database: 20.3
  • Media Codec: 3.1.4
If I bring the car to East Yorkshire Retrofits for the SEAT MQB Virtual Cockpit retrofit + diagnosis of the steering wheel button issues, would this likely take a few days to complete?

Thanks!
