Hi everyone,
I wonder if you can
help me please?
My 2021
Cupra Formentor has developed an intermittent
problem with the exterior boot release button not working. It probably fails more times than it works at the moment. The catch is fine (I can release it with the interior boot emergency screwdriver release). I think it might be an electrical issue, as the button makes the usual buzz/beep sound, but maybe not as loud as it used to. With each repeated attempt to open the boot, the sound becomes weaker with each button press. So it kind of feels like the electrical circuit is losing charge each time - possibly the solenoid within the mechanism?
Has anyone had the same please, and know
how to fix it? Cupra were quoting £150 just for the diagnostics, but I really think it's a simpler thing to fix.
Thanks very much,
Matt
