The other with the 290, both maps were made
And developed by me and my mate in manchester
In is rolling machine, i prefer to dont mension
Is company name has he dont want to as he dont
Do this kind of costum remaps, take too long
And is not profitable for him, so if you not confortable
And you have you remap source we can do a deal,
I put the original map and you get the car remap from where you want, we agree with the price and we go from there .

Best Regards

hi there,
im very interested in the car but can I ask who has remapped it and who's manufactured the cams, injectors and turbo's? I used to have a well tuned FR that has been written off so I need to find another car ASAP and this appears to have all the right mods, but I need to know who's mapped it etc as I've had alot of bad experience with crap maps which over stress the engine.

cheers

seat sports cooler are pants at any boost? that's clearly untrue, surely? rods need changing at ~330lb.ft?

you only have to look at the external pictures of the car to know it's not as it left the factory

No it's not untrue. Seat sport coolers can't take standard tdi boost over a long period of time, never mind the circa 35psi he would need to be running.
Rods don't need changing at 330lb/ft. But you can't make 296bhp at 330lb/ft unless ur somehow managing to rev to about 7k rpm.

Only mod I can see on the entire car is an LCR splitter.

And as vroomtshh said he would likely be running running 35psi, could the standard boost pipes cope with that?

Anybody live near the seller? Someone needs to go and view this car to scope it out so we can all put the handbags away lol

You are correct haha.

Vroomtshh is running similar power (probably more) to what this guy is claiming so he is obviously the guy in the know and he keeps getting discredited which is really annoying me! You don't have a car at that power with the amount of work, blood & sweat that some guys on here put into their cars to achieve, only for some twat to come along claiming it on a car that probably has a decat, panel filter and a generic map. And to add insult to injury can't even name the brands of the mods or the tuning company.

I know nothing about turbos, but i do remember in the days of cosworths etc that it was really easy to just turn the boost up and get mega power. It would only last as long as the dyno session but at least they could plot the graph!

Could this guy be doing the same? High power but without all the mods that make it consistent and reliable?

Although i agree with the torque vs bhp numbers, high bhp and low torque is usually reserved for high revving petrols.

My old Cupra tdi had that very problem, previous owner had a cheap map put on by someone that didn't know what they were doing. End result was a chewed cam and broken tandem pump and myself thousands out of pocket in parts, labour and lots of expensive and invasive detective work. Glad I got rid when I did but that was a lot of money into repairing it just to get it sale worthy!

That doesn't really work in this case. Modern ecu's are a bit more advanced than cosworth stuff. Turbos can only flow a certain amount of air. He may well have a turbo capable of that air flow, although his reply to the philosopher would suggest not.
But even if he had a turbo capable of that sort of flow, and just whacked the boost up, he wouldn't appear to have the rest of the mods required.

I suppose in a theoretical world, u could strap on a 2260, a set of firads and whack the boost up to 40psi for a dyno run just to get a big number.
