Mine goes in for a 20k service on Monday. Seat quoted me £240. My car is 2 year old so it needs the brake fluid changed and they use longlife oil because of the service intervals so they take a good whack for that as well

Ouch. I did mine outside of the dealer, but bought the correct oil (don't trust the dealers) genuine oil Filter, Fuel filter (not needed but cheap enough) Pollen filter and labour all in for £85 :D
So you all got spanked

Had mine done back in October 07 and cost £206, thought this was a bit steep but sounds like it was the going rate
Got a new rear shock fitted as mine was weeping apparently!

just had mine done today £230 for the 20k service and £55 to have the brake fluid changed which I didn't think was too bad obviously a specialist is cheaper but I don't want to give the dealer any reason to try and wiggle out of a warrenty claim should it arise

Not allowed to do that any more due to an EU directive. You will be fine as long as the garage used uses OE parts and is VAT registered
