Im going to ring them this afternoon to make sure its not a missprint and find out about the service history. 60miles is a fair way to go to find out its not as good as it seems.
I need to try and get an appointment for the other.
As long as it has had its yearly services it should be ok
unlikely its been clocked as the ecu records milage and time used i think
my leon had only done 1.5k in 9 months was reged to seat uk and used for press shots for saints rugby team
My mum has got rid of 2 Ibiza Cupras at 3 years old with just 8k on them, she just doesn't do the mileage.
I work in a dealership and see uber low mileage cars everyday. As long the service history is there, I'd be going for it. Low mileage cars are a gem, as long as they're well maintained!
Tell them you want to speak to the previous owner, and remind them you can easily get the information from the DVLA and you can easily go and buy one of the other LCRs you mentioned above. Firm but fair is the way to go
It seems you guys are missing the point about low mileage though. Granted short journeys aren't great.
BUT
If a standard car at this age would of done 40k, and for arguments sake 70% of that motorway miles, I'd take the car with 9k on the clock any day (all other things being equal).
I think care and TLC comes over mileage, time and time again. 9k miles in 3.5 yrs with periods of inactivity and sitting there doing nothing is no good.
might have been one of their demo cars? like other people have said check for seat wear and seering wheel and gear knob and ask plenty of questions about it
My 2003 (53) Cupra R 210 has only done 15k miles. It was pre-registered in oct 03 then bought by it's last owner dec 03. Then it was serviced once a year by the dealer. Now it's got 4 dealer serivce stamps at 6k, 11k, 14k and 15k. As i'd expect the bodywork and interior is mint. However I wouldn't pay any more for it than a car with average miles though. After all you're always taking a chance as with any mileage to how the last owner drove. It could have been driven on several short trips every day or garaged and only driven weekends.
my misses has got a x reg polo with 21,000 miles on , and its genuine , you will be able to tell the milage of a car by just looking over it , for stone chips , and wear and tear items
