3k+ for a mk2 ibiza?

reserved at over 3000 pounds? its the car i want but i wont pay anything near 3k for one!
is this a one off or are they selling for this kind of money?

its the same as what ive got, fella and as far as im aware the average 'going rate'depending on condition /rust etc.. is any where from £1500 to £2k

I paid £2300 for one of those with 40k miles and a full dealer service history 12months ago! i saw that one on ebay, thats not a realistic asking price. Anywhere from £1500 - £2500 for a decent low milage example.

Got mine 17 months ago for £2600 - a 99T 8v with 37000 miles on it!!

Its whatever someones prepared to pay really! I judge a cars value on more than just ts age!

I was originally looking at getting a Polo 16v but the ones I looked at were'nt a patch on this ibiza and where upto a £1000 more!!! so I bought it even though it was the first Ibiza I looked at.

Got mine 3 months ago for £2250 and thats with 49k on the clock with fully stamped SEAT service history, aircon, new tyres and one lady owner

I do believe that they are commanding more than book prices, but 3k for an 8valver seems steep. I know there have been a few really mint ones on here recently for £3000-£3500...mines an immaculate Kiwi 16v...but sadly has CatD on its record...

Good price for the mileage MK2's are relatively indestructible if maintained well

yeh all it was due was a cambelt, being a mechanic i did it at the cost of around £20 for belt and tensioner i agree you cant beat the old VW lumps for abit of reliablity
