I've just washed my new Exeo for the first time and noticed a gap of about 3mm between the chrome window trim and the car on both sides at the back (where it forms a "L" around the bottom of the window in the D-Pillar). Should this be flush all the way around or is it designed to stand out of the body for drainage or some other purpose?

Does it just clip on? Is it just a case of pushing it back into place or is it secured by adhesive or screws? The only information I can find came from an Audi forum and there they describe the trim around the door windows as being secured by screws but do not mention this bit of trim.

I just had a look at mine. It's around 3mm .... but your photo looks bigger.

I'm not that worried about it - it seems pretty firmly attached.

Picked my Se Tech up on Thurs and, like mcdonald, mine's just got a small gap at the corner which, having checked some of the NetCarShow pics, I think is ok.

Thanks for the reassurance, the gap's not quite as bad as it looks in the photo - the shadow makes it looks worse than it actually is but I couldn't get the camera lens flat against the bodywork to eliminate it. I was going to go down to the dealer's with it but from having a closer look and from what you've all said I don't think there's much that can be done.
