3rd gear rev bounce

Good evening!

I was driving my MK3 Cupra up the dual carriageway and i booted it through 1st to 6.5k rpm and then same through second - i then turnt to my girlfriend and expressed my deep love for boost :) then as i continued into 3rd gear i got to 4.5k rpm and it started bouncing like i had hit a limiter?

Any ideas please?

Car has:

Oettinger 210 remap chip
007p DV
Pipercross airfilter
N249 BYpass

This hasnt ever happened before when driving -

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Its weird, iv just been back out and it boosts like mad in 1st and second, then it wasnt boosting as well - so i pulled over and started checking all piping from top of DV to where the N249 bypass is, got back in and went for another run and it boosted in all gears and especially 3rd went whole range with no hesitation.

Then got to next part of dual and problem came back?

I would have thought afailing coilpack would trigger EML?

Its a chip in the ECU (I do have the standard chip here) - it never had any problems before - iv read this maybe a faulty N75 valve?

Just want it sorted!

Yeah I know what it is, the actual map on the chip isn't the best. From what I remember it was making my mates car overfuel (and the symptoms you described could be caused from overfuelling)

Your best bet is to get someone with vagcom to do some logging for you on it, get the boost, CF's, maf etc logged and see exactly whats happening
