Got access to a garage for the weekend! Replacement S3 transmission going in, with new gear oil and also oil change/inspection. I bought the car last October and it has sat in my driveway ever since, waiting to be fixed. I'm so excited to finally get her going. It's been a long time coming. Had a baby, moved into our own apartment, got a new job, in a new country. The past year has been crazy, happy to finally get back into the car scene. In the US cars were my life, a part of my identity, feels like I lost a part of myself and now it's coming back.

If everything checks out with the car then the TÜV inspection will be made and then many upgrades will be installed. Stay tuned!

Sorry for getting all emotional, just been through alot this year, happy to do finally what brings a smile to my heart, driving the car for the first time above 20kmhs will be lovely.

Ya man Haha I had plans to do it quickly but in November I got a new job, then December I had to go back to the US for official documents etc. Govt ****. Then with moving in January and building the apartment up through Jan, Feb and baby came March 3rd... since then no time to even poop in peace

Update! Today I prepared the car and took her out of hibernation. Got some dealer plates from a friend and picked up some full synthetic gl5 gear oil and some half synth oil for an engine oil flush before the expensive full synth goes in.

List for tomorrow

Remove old gearbox
Install new gearbox and SMF kit
Gear oil flush
Drop oil pan and inspect rod bearings.
Half synth Engine oil and new filter
Weld small holes in muffler closed to pass TÜV.

With enough time quick wash the car and vacuum the interior up.

If everything checks out tomorrow then I'll be throwing some cash down for the Stage2+ and possibly e85 upgrades to max out the stock k03s. Gonna be the most powerful "stock" k03s and stock manifold 1.8t. Without porting the turbo and mani. Hopefully rods dont let go.


Have my eye on the S3 yellow Recaros... think they would go nicely! Just have to see if the door cards would line up! Then do the rest of the interior black.

If anyone was wondering yes you can put the entire gearbox and angle drive in the trunk with room to spare!

I really really want to swap all my **** into a cupra 4 and go 500hp+ but dreams are dreams i suppose. Just seems like such a pain in the arse to go 4x4 with my current car

There is a rolling shell 4x4 for sale here. Take it and convert it to RHD

Lol it's been for sale for months! I'd offer the guy 400 quid and bring a trailer! Then just store it under a tarp until you're ready!
