im a bit lost in coding a replacement ECU on MK1 Seat Leon 1.6 SE , have used vag-tacho to retrieve the ecu pin that is 02435 , my understanding is that

Example found on icc-immo help page

08618 - 4 digit code,

01742 - dealer no,

444 - importer code,

150307 - date of issue (15 march 2007)

this creates 08618-01742-444-150307" that when 'calculated' created a 7 pin code ,

( i have my 4 digit code , dealer no , importer code and the date of issue )

i need a 7 pin code to use VAS 5054 to connect to 'geko' and then code the cluster and keys to the ECU , buttt ive searched around and cannot find software except icc-immo software that i cannot download or make contact with supplier , is there another way , any help much appropriated

Thankyou

Update : have successfully coded a separate ECU from a MK4 Golf 1.6 as the code was retrievable as original clocks were attached ,

so its runs, badly as many ecu faults as it isnt the same part number ,

next question is , is there any way to copy immob information from one ecu to another :D ,

You can via immo dump but you'll need the hardware and software to do so.

How did you pair the ecu in the end? Using VCDS? And why was a replacement needed?

we got the car from ebay as a non runner with an immob fault ( classic story that mrs got in car and wouldn't start etc ) ,

got it home and VAS said it had a mk4 golf VIN stored [:@], but the part number was for Leon and Toledo only ( ending in CP ) highly confusing ,

in the end we got a ECU from a golf mk4 1.6 from scrap yard that was immob3 and did a cluster read before removing it to reveal the ecu code using vag-tacho ,

we then used this ecu to code the seat's cluster and keys using VCDS to the car started but run extremely poorly it was hunting etc ( DTC engine temp and throttle position fault ), as well as a few others

next step was to open both ecu , remove the immob chip from the coded Vw golf ecu and solder it in the original ecu , ( the ecu immob chip had been removed maybe previously as had some cleaning marks etc surrounding it
 andd it works perfectly and runs spot on

no need for 7 pin skc in the end as used vag-com not VAS :)

if anyone did need this software to convert a 4 pin SKC to a 7 pin SKC i found at this download link :

(note : had a little play with this and it made some 7 skc's , but it also made weird 6 and 5's depending on date , as i didn't need this pin in the end i haven't tested the 7 SKC produced it actually works with VAS )
